“Escape the Ordinary” (2024)
“Escape the Ordinary” is a project developed in response to a brief that called for re-thinking and escaping real-world systems by finding opportunities for subversion and manipulation. This project challenges the mundane routines we carry out on autopilot mode. By disrupting familiarity, it asks: How can we unlearn what we already know in order to see differently?

Through a series of altered everyday objects, the work introduces unusual functions that feel both absurd and strangely familiar. These objects invite reflection on our relationship with material things and ask: how does absurdity open space for re-thinking the familiar?

Inspired by Erwin Wurm, “One Minute Sculpture.”
